Giving Back to Alma Mater: Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation Creates Employment Opportunities at Alva’s Pragati 2026
Founder Chairman’s alumni ties add a personal chapter to the Foundation’s placement success.
Moodbidri, Karnataka — August 9, 2026
Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation closed out Alva’s Pragati 2026 — India’s largest placement drive
— on a high note on the evening of August 8, 2026, with 11 on-spot job appointments and 25 candidates shortlisted for further rounds.
The tentative appointment letters for all eleven candidates were handed over by Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya, Founder Chairman of the Foundation, together with Ms. Sri Anagha KR, of the Foundation’s Advisory Council, in what became one of the day’s most memorable moments.
That moment carried extra weight because Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya is an alumnus of Alva’s Education Foundation, where he completed his pre-university and degree education. Faculty members and deans from Alva’s pre-university and degree colleges, along with Honourable Chairperson Dr. Mohan Alva and Managing Trustee Mr. Vivek Alva, spoke of their happiness at welcoming him back to campus in this new role.
For Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation, the outcome at Alva’s Pragati 2026 reflects its ongoing effort to turn its roots in capacity building and training into direct, real-world employment opportunities for students.
